Story Times

Library Story Time programs are a great way to share the love of books and reading with your child, and to help build the early literacy skills they need for success in school.

Winter Story Times Have Begun!

We are very excited to be able to continue offering two different early literacy programs each week. The Baby Time and Play & Learn groups are both designed to boost important early literacy skills in a fun and interactive setting for kids and caregivers.  These programs are free, and registration is not required.

Baby Time meets Mondays at 10:30, and is aimed at infants through 2 year olds.  It will be similar to last year’s Toddler Times. It is a brief program full of books and bouncy rhymes, followed by some free-play time so parents and caregivers can visit with one another while the babies play under their supervision.

Play & Learn meets Tuesdays at 10:15 and 6:15, and is for infants through 5 year olds.  It will be a hybrid of a traditional story time and a preschool classroom, with lots of hands-on stations for youngsters to explore their world through play. These sessions last for one hour each, and participants will receive one new book to keep each month.  Participants are welcome to attend either the morning or the evening session.
