Winter Break Programs for Kids and Teens

Free movies, crafts and more for anyone enjoying a school holiday.
Winter Break Programs for Kids and Teens
The new Maze Runner movie will be shown for teens at 2 pm on December 19. Free pizza will be served.

Looking for something to do with the kids during the school holiday?  Come on in  to the library!  Explore the collection of books, music, magazines, movies, and themed backpacks, discover the fun new toys in the Children’s Corner, or enjoy one of the special programs being offered.

From December 19 until January 2, kids and adults can join the latest coloring craze with our supply of velvet-art doodle squares.  Use colored pencils to create your own work of art to take home, or to display at the library.

Saturday, December 19, the library will host a pizza and movie party for teens from 2 to 4 p.m.  Kids in the 7th grade and older are welcome at this event, featuring free pizza and a free showing of the new-on-DVD Maze Runner movie.

Tuesday, December 22, adults and children of all ages are invited to watch a free movie on the big screen starting at 6:30 p.m.  This newly-released DVD features a cast of minions, and is rated PG.

Tuesday, December 29, drop in anytime between 3 and 5 for a creative crafting experience.  Color your own design on plastic film, then pop it in the oven and watch it shrink and thicken.  Make yourself a necklace, keychain, or window sun catcher.  All ages are welcome, but children under 6 will require adult assistance.

The programs are all free, & registration is not required.  Children age 6 & under must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
