The Winter 2017 book sale will be held February 23-25.
Used Book Sale Set For February

The White Lake Community Library will hold its next used book sale on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, February 23 through 25.  The sale will be open to the public from 6-8 pm on Thursday, with a special preview sale for members of the Friends of White Lake Community Library beginning at 5 pm.  Memberships can be purchased at the door.

Sale hours for Friday are 10 am to 4 pm, while Saturday will feature clearance pricing of $2 per bag from 10 am to 3 pm.  Customers are welcome to bring their own standard grocery-size paper or reusable bags.

The semi-annual book sale offers a large variety of pre-loved books for all ages, from romance and mystery to gardening and history.  Used movies, music, audio books, jigsaw puzzles and other items will also be available.  Everything is priced to sell, with most paperbacks going for fifty cents and hardcovers for $1.00.

Proceeds from this sale are a primary source of funding for the popular Summer Reading Program at the library.  This program, which reaches more than 500 children each summer, helps keep kids reading and learning during the summer months.  The library’s goal is to raise enough to cover the cost of performers, reading incentives, and a variety of special programs for children in the community.
